Isn't this a simple example of opportunity costs? Just as someone who has a business and owns the building and the building is more valuable to the business so sell or fold the business and monetize the real estate.

I hear you Rob, although I wanted to get a different point across than opportunity costs, perhaps I failed. Sure, as an owner I want to maximize the value of the real estate, the question is what is the optimal way to do it for that particular piece of land or website and how do I go about figuring it out.
